May Daze!

Bring it on summer. Just as we thought the summer was over for us, here was another lovely weekend at the beach. This time Bethells. Only problem was with our electronic ways we didn't have cash and couldn't even take advantage of the yummy food from the caravan!!

Then home for showers and baths and check out our little pork chop...like I say hours sitting on the couch have not been wasted with our little 8 kilo "pork chop" or "windowless room" as aunty Sara loves to call him.

We also have Oli playing with his new bubble machine thanks to Simon and Jen...boy oh boy what a treat this is!!

Now staring Oliver in his own range of Wilkie wear thanks to Fa Fa Morris who chased down a young man in Melbourne wearing the range to find out where to buy it. Sorry Dad this doesn't come in adult sizes!!

Now sorry to all those who this offends, but what better way to entertain your kids quietly....Maisy Mouse on his own computer thanks to Granny Val and her upgrade!! Tim junior here he comes. He'll be reinstalling windows in under 15 minutes by four.

My first night out for a while...comedy show then further entertainment with Kate, Rox and Kates colleague...Ngahuia - loose unit! Didn't see what was on the phone, but Kate thinks its hilarious.

Grandma Val comes to visit

Well what a week full of action and adventure...well every week is like that for Oliver who never seems to slow down. We had Grandma Val over to visit for the week. Oliver and Sam could put the face to the name again. Whenever we read the Thomas the Tank Engine books they always start "To Oliver, Love Grandma Val" It was also lovely to see Aunt Gloria (Val's sister) who was over from Canada. I think Oliver is going to miss all the attention.

While they were here we went to the Anzac parade at the Auckland domain. OK so it wasn't the dawn parade but we were there no less. On our way back we got arty through the pohutakawa trees.

Alex and Amanda came by and the kids all got into the cupcakes a Granny Val special.

Loving the fact that its still summer, we went to the park and made the most of it, meeting up with Sara, Kate, Jan and their little Sam. The date and cheese scones went down a treat...ah no that wasnt me be the Sally home maker, in case you were wondering!

Of course Dig Dig is getting bigger and more alert by the day. Finally shipped him out of our room, tonight is the first night in fact! I think four months in our room is long enough!!!
